Healthy-ish Krispies Treats
3 cups Quinoa Pop
1/3 cup puffed amaranth
2 tablespoons algae oil or melted butter
4 cups marshmallows
In a pot, combine the oil and marshmallows. Melt the two over low heat, while stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, line an 8″x8″ square baking pan with parchment paper. Grease the paper.
Once the marshmallows have melted, pour in the cereal and stir to combine. Grease a spatula to help prevent the mixture from sticking. Press into the prepared baking pan. If the mixture sticks too much, I suggest oiling your hands and gently pressing into the pan with your hands. If using your hands, make sure the mixture is cool enough to touch before handling. Allow them to cool. Cut into squares and serve. Leftovers can be stored at room temperature for up to a week.
